Wednesday 28th January;

Today we went back to our title sequence and did some more work on adding more clips and trying to fit it all into the 30 second limit, which we were finding very hard. We also uploaded the footage that sofia and freezer filmed of the character Amy getting ready. We also started on the opening to our soap opera but unfortunately we had a slight technical difficulty which somehow lost all of our work in imovie on both the title sequence and the soap opening, so we may have to start our work all over again which has put us behind at least another 3 hours worth of work.
Bad Times...
:(:(

But for the rest of the lessons today we hope to film a little but more footage of Katie and Suj.

Wednesday 28th January;

MY BIRTHDAY!

Monday 26th January;

In todays lesson freezer and sofia went out to do a little more filming and myself and keeley sat at the macs and started on our title sequence. Whilst doing the title sequence we found it hard to decide how to arrange the clips and the music to fit all together. But over all the double lesson was very successful as we got around 80% of our title sequence done.

Monday 19th January;

Today we aim to upload the footage we filmed the day before to see if it all works, we also aim to get the Amy getting ready scene and hopefully have time to film some of the title sequence so we make sure we have it all done as quick as possible.

Sunday 18th January;

Today we planned to film some of our soap opera scenes...
  • A.J & Madeline in bed scene
  • Amy and A.J flirting scene
  • The big argument scene

Overall i found that the filming process of the day was quite successful. The actors an actresses worked very well together even though they'd never met before and also the way that everyone worked well as a team to bring all the scenes together. In the lesson on Monday we hope to upload all the footage onto the Mac's and get the 'Amy getting ready' scene filmed.

Monday 12th January;

Today we carried on working towards getting ready to film our Soap Opera. We made sure all our cast were still able to act in it, we also delegated tasks to each team member which we will have all the way through filming, we also discussed health and safety issues that we could come accross whilst filming. By the end of the double lesson we had also created our shooting schedule and are now ready to start rehearsals...

Wednesday 7th January;

The Bill Workshop;

For the day we had a workshop group come into school to help us improve our skills with filming and acting by re-enacting a scene from The Bill. The other Creative Media Group from Bishop Chanellor also came to our school to work with us.
For the day we were split into four groups of six and had to Film, Direct, Act and Practice the scene we were given in the script. It helped me to learn about how to film a certain scene as best as we could. I found this very educational as i needed to know a bit more about filming to help me with filming my own soap opera next week.
Even though id only met the other people in my group once before from the other school i found it quite easy to just get on with the job and work well with them, this is also what i needed practice on as i find it hard to talk to people i don't really know.
Overall i think that the workshop was extremely successful and useful to help me along with creating my own soap opera. It has also given me a good insight into how demanding and how rushed the media industry is and that no time can be wasted. The day has also come to help me be more determined to get a job within the Media Industry...
